Educate U Awarded the IQM Inclusive School Award
We are delighted to share that Educate U has been recognised by the Inclusion Quality Mark (IQM) for our outstanding commitment to inclusion, care and education. Following a full-day visit and assessment, the school has been officially awarded the Inclusive School Award, with a strong recommendation to progress towards Centre of Excellence status.
Highlights from the IQM visit
The report celebrates many of the things that make Educate U unique, including:
A nurturing and inclusive ethos – described by the assessor as a school which ensures every child feels safe, valued and respected.
Strong relationships with families – parents and carers spoke powerfully about the transformative impact of Educate U, saying their children had been given opportunities they “would never have had elsewhere.”
Passionate staff and leadership – the report highlights the dedication, positivity and ambition of our team, who place children firmly at the heart of everything they do.
Personalised support for every child – from our innovative Tuesday’s Child initiative, where staff collaborate to support individual needs, to our flexible curriculum planning that ensures each learner has the best chance of success.
Creative approaches to learning – including enrichment woven into the curriculum, inspiring dance sessions, and our much-loved Forest School, praised as “one of the best examples of inclusion” the assessor had ever seen.
